3. Update on children helped

Mairead and Sim visited families that they recommended before and got all school supplies and clothes for next year.

Charlene and At are visiting the families they recommended to catch up.

All children are helped for next year already.

There may be one more family where the child needs a bike (Kampong Trach). Sim will check on this.

The families live close and Sandy will visit them before the school year starts.

5. Access database of children helped

At will make an access database of all the children helped so far. It should include:

• where—directions to house
• names of kids, ages, grades
• associated school and contact information
• support given and cost
• time support given (date)
• follow up results (date too)
• time follow up should be done again
• person responsible
• status of children (ie still supported, finished, etc)
• description of family situation
• projected cost if child supported all the way through school (currently 9^th grade)

At will start working on this and have something for the next meeting

We can use this to show donors what we have done and how expensive supporting a child is.

We can use this to keep track of the kids so that support is reliable.

We can use this  to project costs so that we do not run out of money before the kids finish school!

6. Discuss how to update website

  Sandy can update the website and teach At and Charlene how to do this.

 Charlene will send minutes to Sandy. Sandy will post minutes.

Charlene and At will meet with Sandy to learn about website.

Sandy will also arrange to pay to keep the website license updated (we need to do this once a year).

7. Recruiting more members to KCF

 We will have one more meeting in the Summer to talk about the final report. After that meeting, we will invite new people to join and explain what KCF is. Claire can ask the community workers at one school she works with; At and Charlene can ask a deputy director who just retired.

We will invite community members and others we think will be interested to the October meeting.

8. Final year report

We should write the final report in the summer so that we can start the new school year with a new report.

Charlene will look at old examples of the report and she and At will write it together.

9. Request for funding new children

No one has any requests.

We will visit schools in October to ask about more poor kids.

10. Other issues

We are realizing that the families need support even after the kids graduate from grade 9. We feel we should commit to supporting kids that we have already supported to graduate from high school. High school is more expensive for families than primary school (uniforms, more books needed, bikes needed as schools are further away) and it seems strange to say that we only support until a certain grade when the family’s situation has not changed.

We will look at the by-laws at the next meeting.
