4. Hans resignation as chair and appointment of new chair

Thanks to Hans for 2 years of service and work with the KCF. We wish him success in his next endeavors.

We congratulate At as the newly elected Chair of the KCF and wish him success in this new position.

At thanks everyone for supporting him and is happy to work for the money to go to the poorest children and looks forward to working with people and to new ideas.  

5. Funding

Chenda is unable to come but Hans reports that we will soon have approximately 9,000 USD that he raised from friends and family.

We need to think of creative ways of raising money in our own countries as well, as Hans is leaving.  

6. Recommendations of children to be supported by the fund.

Charlene has two requests:

1. A family of 3 children needing support, consisting of 2 bikes, clothes for 3, resources for 3, and a bag of rice for the family.
2. A bike for one child we supported already so that they can get to school—it is far.

Vote to support the request is passed.

7. Update on postcards

We have to check with establishments selling cards.

If we need more stands, the man at Rikitikitavi makes them.

Neil will have a shop near the bookstore and will sell the postcards too.

Report at next meeting about postcards.

Claire will take over Hans’ list of establishments.

8. New postcard discussion

Chris will take pictures and we should have a choice of at least 4.

Chris will take photos and share soon.  

9. Leaflet in Khmer

The leaflet is available and so we should give it out to schools, especially our Model schools and target schools.

Hans recommends we put it in the provincial newsletter from the POE

We should give the leaflet out when we visit schools.  

10. Report of activities

Claire just started and will go to establishments to check on postcard status.

Charlene and At will follow up the children they recommended.

Next meeting was scheduled for Jan 16 (friday) but was postponed until:
